The success rate of a medical abortion is 80-90% dependingti on the week of your pregnancy. If the abortion is unsuccessful, and there are contents of the pregnancy left in the uterus, it will most likely be neccesary to remove it surgically.
The abortion is performed by taking two sets of pills, over the course of two sessions. The first set of pills are called mifepristone and the second set is called misoprostol. Following that, you will have a final checkup with the doctor.
After taking the first set of pills- mifepristone, it is normal to experience
These are all normal symptoms and don't require medical attention.
After taking the second set of pills- misoprostol, it is normal to experience
Continuous bleeding, which starts roughly a half-hour after taking the pills and ends after a few days. The bleeding might be heavy, and it is normal to see blood clots.
To relieve pain and cramping, it is only permissible to take Paracetamol, Dexamol, Paramol, or Optalgin.
Do not use: Adix, Advil, Nurofen, or Nexium
